Welcome to Snowdrift Farm's Web site!

Welcome to the Snowdrift Farm website! We are a small organic/ biodynamic farm located at 6200' at the south end of Teton Valley, Idaho on the west side of the Teton Mountains. Georgie Stanley, Sue Miller and Erika Eschholz work together with help from our families, interns, work shares and other helpful people to produce the highest quality food for our community. We produce vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, eggs, pork, beef and hay. We sell our goods at farmers markets, groceries, restaurants and through a burgeoning CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) in Teton Valley, Idaho and Jackson, Wyoming.
We raise Red Star and Ancona laying hens, Berkshire/ Hereford cross pigs and Dexter cows. All of the animals fertilize our fields and gardens and supply us with much of our compost material. We also use the pigs to root up alfalfa's taproots to establish new gardens, control quack grass and aerate the soil in our gardens.
We use solar and wind energy to power our operation as well as solar hot water and wood to heat our buildings. Although we have been "off the grid" now the barn, shop and Georgie's house are now "grid tied." This means we are farming energy for our community as well as our farm!
We are committed to helping bring food back to a local and personal level. We are committed to being good stewards of our land. We are committed to creating a sustainable life for ourselves. With other businesses marketing their goods locally we hope to make the Tetons a more sustainable place to live.
